Henry de Bromhead has given his first update on the arrival of unbeaten novice chaser Envoi Allen at his yard. The seven-year-old, 8-11 with Paddy Power for the Marsh Novices' Chase, was one of several horses sent to him by Cheveley Park Stud this week.
Their decision came after their former trainer Gordon Elliott was investigated by the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board, a case which will be heard on Friday.
Envoi Allen is already a dual Festival winner having taken the Weatherbys Champion Bumper in 2019 and the Ballymore Novices’ Hurdle last year. “He’s a gorgeous horse and we feel very fortunate that Cheveley Park have sent him to us," De Bromhead said.
