Sally, who is best known for her portrayal of Sally Metcalfe in the ITV show, reposted her husband Tim's post on Instagram to her story.
Her daughter, Bridgerton star Phoebe, 27, also shared the news with her 3.6m followers. Tim took to his grid to share the sad news.
