Prince Harry has been told “actions speak louder than words” by a royal commentator after he claimed that he had tried to “protect” the Queen. After making the trip to The Hague with a Netflix crew in tow for his Invictus Games project, Harry spoke in an interview with the Today show about his stop-over to see the Queen with Meghan. In a teaser clip for the full interview which airs later today (April 20), Harry remarked: “I’m just making sure that she’s, you know, protected and got the right people around her.”The prince also suggested that he is happy in California “for now”, and revealed that the Queen was “on great form” during their meeting over tea. But, reacting to the prince’s statement on GB News, royal expert Robert Jobson claimed that Harry’s actions since leaving royal duties did not support his words.Host Eamonn Holmes introduced the topic, noting: “Harry talks about being surrounded by the right people, are they to protect the Queen from him?
Or does he want his right people? It’s quite an arrogant and contradictory piece of advice, surely?” Robert agreed, acknowledging that Harry has rarely returned to see the monarch since moving to LA; His recent trip for tea was the first time he and Meghan Markle had seen the Queen together since their acrimonious royal exit in early 2020. “I think actions speak louder than words,” he added.
