Harry and Meghan walked away from royal life for good on Friday as the Queen removed the rest of the couple’s royal honours, including Harry’s beloved military patronages.
While the news hardly comes as a surprise as Meghan and Harry have been carving out a new career in the US for the past year their departure announcement has reportedly been viewed as a parting shot at the rest of the family.
It’s believed that the Sussexes had wished to remain as quasi-working royals and hang on to some of their patronages while continuing to make money on deals with the likes of Netflix and Spotify.
The Queen’s however reportedly put her foot down and is firm in her stance that royals are either public servants or they’re not.
