A Greater Manchester Police officer has been charged with conspiracy to commit police corruption. Akeel Kadir, 52, - a Police Constable based within the force’s Bolton District - has been charged with a number of offences.

He also faces three counts of unlawfully obtaining personal data, contrary to s170(1) Data Protection Act 2018. The charges relate to incidents which occurred between April 2015 to November 2019, GMP said.
