The Great British Bake Off aired another emotional exit on Tuesday as George became the latest contestant to leave the tent.

For the latest instalment, the bakers were challenged during caramel week where they had to produce several tricky creations, which included caramel tarts, caramel biscuit bars and a showstopper masterpiece.

After failing to impress Prue Leith and Paul Hollywood, George became the latest contestant to leave the tent. Speaking after his fate was revealed, he said: "There is bittersweet to it.
