A gran was killed in a horrifying explosion after paramedics arrived at her house to treat her for suspected coronavirus symptoms.
The blast tore through Lynn Hadley’s house in Walsall, West Minds, around 5pm on Easter Monday. Ambulance crews were called to the property after the 68-year-old started displaying coronavirus symptoms.
When they began oxygen treatment, sparks flew from an oxygen tank and ignited the armchair where Mrs Hadley was sitting. The flames took hold and she died in the chair from “fatal burn injuries”, the inquest was told.
