RECORDINGS of Gogglebox star Mary Cook singing were played at her funeral yesterday as family and friends gathered to lay her to rest.
Mourners said goodbye to the 92-year-old at a service inside South Bristol Crematory. The telly star, who died in August after suffering an aneurysm, regularly appeared alongside best friend Marina Wingrove on Gogglebox.
Mary recorded the three songs that played at the service in a studio as an 80th birthday present from her granddaughter Nikki Ind, 53.
She told OK!: "On her 80th birthday my mum and I paid for her to go into a recording studio and she recorded those three songs. "We have always said since that, 'We will play those at your funeral, nan.' "She loved doing Gogglebox and loved being recognised.
