A Scots landlord who charged tenants 20p for every shower has been refused a licence. Glasgow Live reports the residents would have to put a coin in a metre to use the facility at the four bedsit tenement in 94 Cartvale Road, Langside.

Incredulous councillors were told of the development at a meeting this week with SNP councillor Rhiannon Spear saying she couldn’t “believe her ears” when she heard people paid to wash every time.
