A teenager has been taken into foster care after losing her mother to coronavirus, which has also left her father fighting for his life in hospital.

Carmina Medel's mother Leilani, a nurse at the Princess of Wales Hospital in Bridgend, passed away on Good Friday aged 41. Social services have now had to find the 14-year-old a temporary home after her father Johnny, 39, was admitted to the hospital's intensive care unit with the virus.
