Furious customers were left in limbo after courier service Hermes 'lost' a whopping 30,000 parcels due to a label scanning error.
At a time when online delivery services are more popular than ever, some frustrated consumers have been forced to wait weeks for their orders.
The epic blunder occurred when a scanning machine misread a series of postcodes, resulting in thousands of packages being directed to the wrong addresses.
It took more than two days before Hermes were able to identify the problem and take measures to correct it. And some customers aren't sure if their packages will ever turn up again.
