Former England midfielder Jermaine Jenas has called for cup competitions to be abandoned this season after the Premier League and English Football League suspended all matches until 3 April at the earliest.
However, it is understood that this date is ambitious and further setbacks are expected. UEFA is set to meet in a video conference on Tuesday to decide whether to call off Euro 2020, which is due to start on 12 June.
Then Premier League clubs will meet on Thursday to determine the best course of action in light of UEFA's decision.
