Tim Considine was an actor best known for starring as oldest son Mike on the classic TV sitcom “My Three Sons.”Tim Considine first found fame appearing in the 1950s Disney television serials “Spin and Marty” and “Hardy Boys” as Joe Hardy opposite Tommy Kirk.

He starred in Disney’s 1959 classic film “The Shaggy Dog” with Tommy Kirk and Fred MacMurray. He reunited with MacMurray the following year to star on the sitcom “My Three Sons.”  Considine played Mike, the oldest of three boys who were being raised by their widowed dad.

He decided to leave the show after five seasons. After “My Three Sons,” he made appearances on “Bonanza,” “Medical Center,” and “Gunsmoke.” He left acting to work as a photographer and writer.   “I gave them a year’s notice and told them I didn’t want to do it anymore.” “I got along great with ’em, I loved them all, I was just tired of doing that.
