Fukada Yuto, from Nobeoka of Miyazaki Prefecture in south-eastern Japan, shared the clip on TikTok after filming his friend's hilarious moment of falling into the water.
In the widely shared video, his friend can be seen taking a few steps back while ready to fish by an embankment. While thinking to throw the fishing line as far as he can, he takes two big steps forward, hops towards the edge of the pavement and jumps straight into the water.
