Michael Jackson's pet Bubbles lived a remarkably different life to any other chimpanzee. After buying Bubbles from an animal trainer for $65,000 in the 1980s, the pair became almost inseparable.
The chimp travelled with the King of Pop during the Bad world tour and even drank tea with the mayor of Osaka in Japan. Initially staying in the Jackson family home in LA, Bubbles was then moved to live side-by-side with his famous owner at Neverland.
Bubbles slept in a crib in Jackson's room, ate sweets in the cinema and reportedly threw his own poo around the mansion. However, behind the happy depiction of Bubbles' life with Jackson there was a worrying reality.
