SARAH Lancashire has been spotted filming the third and final series of Happy Valley after six years off screen. Filming has just begun in West Yorkshire on the final instalment of the critically-acclaimed BBC drama - and Sarah's no-nonsense cop character certainly looks like she's ready for business.
Happy Valley, which last aired in 2016, is adored by viewers and critics alike, with the second series attracting an average audience of 9.3million people.
As a result, the first two series each won BAFTA Television awards for both Best Drama Series and Best Drama Writer for creator and writer Sally Wainwright.
The police drama triumphed over Netflix dramas The Crown, The Durrells and War & Peace to take home the coveted prize. Sarah was also honoured for her anguished portrayal and received a BAFTA for Leading Actress in the second series.
