The Coronation Street legend looked ready for action back in front of the cameras as no-nonsense police sergeant Catherine Cawood for the third installment of the BAFTA-winning BBC drama.
Oldham actress Sarah, who played Raquel Wolstenhulme in Corrie from 1991 to 1996, received a BAFTA for Leading Actress in her role as anguished Catherine as she fights crime in the Yorkshire borough of Calderdale. James Norton and Siobhan Finneran are also confirmed to return for series three. James plays murderer and sex-offender Tommy Lee Royce and Siobhan plays Catherine’s sister, the recovering addict Clare Cartwright.
