one of the country’s Covid hotspots, however rates have plummeted in recent weeks - with West Dunbartonshire now recording seven day rates of 43.9 cases per 100,000, well below the national average of 73 per 100,000.
Public Health Scotland data shows that the virus is now classed as ‘suppressed’ (where less than three positive cases have been recorded over seven days) in 10 areas.These are Balloch, Bowling, Bonhill, Alexandria, Dumbarton East, Dalreoch and Lomond, as well as Clydebank North, Dalmuir and Duntocher.Only three areas locally showed a rise in cases over the last week, with Kilpatrick now the worst hit locally with a rate of 82.4 cases per 100,000.
