Fern Britton has shared her disappointment that Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes have lost their weekly Friday slot on This Morning.

The TV presenter, who hosted the ITV show from 1999 until 2009, took to Twitter to say "oh no" when she heard about the news last night.

On Saturday the Mirror exclusively revealed that Ruth and Eamonn will no longer host This Morning on Fridays, and will be replaced by fan favourites Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary.

They will continue to host the show from Mondays to Thursday during the six week holidays when Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield are on their summer break.
