Coronation Street's Yasmeen Metcalfe looks terrified as she takes the stand accused of attempting to murder her husband Geoff.
There are fears the grandmother, played by Shelley King, might go to prison for stabbing abusive Geoff in dramatic scenes on the ITV soap.
In a first-look Corrie clip her granddaughter Alya says she's worried Yasmeen might not cope if she's sent down. Her solicitor Imran Habeeb explains that Yasmeen has no previous history of offending and she surrendered to police after lashing out at Geoff. "They can't keep her locked up, she won't cope look at her," says Alya played by Sair Khan.
Geoff, played by Ian Bartholomew, was bullying and manipulating Yasmeen for months as part of a harrowing coercive control plot.
