After weeks of disgusting abuse, Yasmeen defended herself from Geoff after he attacked her with a knife. She hit him with a wine bottle, which smashed into pieces, and she then used the sharp edges to stab him in the neck, with the episode ending as he lay twitching on the floor.
Some viewers were shocked by how violent the scenes were, and Ofcom confirmed they had received 276 complaints about the storyline and were considering whether to investigate it.
