RTÉ have confirmed Fair City will be back on television screens in early September. Viewers will see new stories and dramas unfold as the programme will reflect life in Ireland with Covid-19.
The long-running soap is returning to production in line with new safety procedures to prevent the spread of Covid-19. Series producer Brigie DeCourcy says: "Everyone is delighted that we are now in a position to get back to telling stories and bringing fun and chaos back to Carrigstown." “We have been eager to get back to production, but the priority was the health and safety of the whole team.” The most recent episode of Fair City aired on April 12th after the Covid-19 pandemic prevented further filming of the show.
