Watford and former England goalkeeper Ben Foster has revealed why he quit the England team under Fabio Capello back in 2011.
Foster has eight caps for his country over a number of years, playing under several managers. There was one Three Lions boss he wasn’t too keen on though, the 37-year-old has revealed, after one run in.
That coach was Italian veteran Fabio Capello, who Foster thinks showed him a lack of respect after his second son was born. The ex-Manchester United and Birmingham stopper has recounted a story about how he left England training to be with his wife while she gave birth, only to return the next day under the promise that he would play.
