Manchester City star Raheem Sterling is close to sealing a £45million switch to Chelsea, which would see him become the Blues' highest earner.

The England speedster, 27, is set for a bumper pay rise in west London with the club prepared to rip up their wage structure to offer him a mind-boggling £350k-a-week.

According to the Mirror, Sterling has already agreed a five-year deal at Stamford Bridge after new owner Todd Boehly promised a state mark signing in the transfer window.

The four-time Premier League winner will now undergo a medical ahead and, provided there are no last-minute hitches, is expected to be confirmed as a Chelsea player before the squad jet off on their pre-season tour in America.READ MORE: Chelsea flop Charly Musonda already goes AWOL after signing for new clubBut Sterling is not the only one to have boosted his pay packet over the summer.
