Chelsea look set to appoint Tom Glick following their dismissal of Marina Granovskaia. Their latest recruit is Manchester City’s former chief commercial and operating officer, but now it looks as though he will be taking up a senior role at Stamford Bridge under the side’s new American owners Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital.

Former owner Roman Abramovich has seen some of his closest confidants leave the side, with Granovskaia, Bruce Buck, and Petr Cech leaving the club in departing in recent weeks.

The Daily Mail report the departures of the trio have left a gaping hole in the back-room staff personnel but the appointment of Glick is the first step forward.

The executive will take a lead role in the club’s backroom operations as the side gears up for next week’s pre-season tour of the USA.
