Erling Haaland has joined Manchester City from Borussia Dortmund almost a year to the day after being ambushed on holiday by 'agent' Riyad Mahrez - and the striker has admitted that he was told lots of good things about the club.
Haaland was told to join City by Mahrez during a chance meeting on holiday in Mykonos last year - now telling his new supporters that the Algeria international was "so right".
The 21-year-old forward joins reigning Premier League champions City having scored 86 goals across 89 fixtures in Germany having cost them only £64million thanks to a bargain release clause.
The in-form Norway international has now been pictured in City blue for the first time since he was a child, and was immediately asked about his meeting with Mahrez.Speaking to the club, he said: "Yes, he told me to come to City, so he was right about that.
