A gigantic 672lbs (305kg) tuna has become the largest ever caught in Spain after footage showed the mammoth creature dwarfing anglers.
The huge 48-stone red tuna was caught off the coast of Cartagena, in the southeastern Spanish region of Murcia. Footage shows a colossal fish being hoisted into the air by a crane.
As it is lifted up, it completely dwarfs two fishermen standing beside it. Juan Paredes, one of the managers at the Almadraba La Azohia fishery who caught the creature, said: "It is the biggest that has been caught in the region." “It was complicated to drag it at the end of pulling in the nets. “We threw a net and with two boats we managed to push it so that it could not get out.” Fishermen caught the tuna using a traditional
