Chris Kamara has said he was tearful too as he watched Jeff Stelling "choke up" when paying tribute to him - and he has offered fans a positive health update.Soccer Saturday host Stelling struggled to contain his emotions as he announced his Sky Sports colleague and good friend would be leaving the channel on Saturday's show.
Kammy's departure comes after he revealed earlier this year that he is suffering with apraxia of the speech.The moment, which was followed by a six-minute long montage of his best bits, had the 64-year-old crying in unison with Stelling while watching at home.
He later tweeted: "Big thanks to everyone once again for your best wishes today. "I had a tear in my eye when Unbelievable Jeff got choked up on screen.
I can’t thank Sky enough for that wonderful tribute. The good news also is ? I am nearly there in terms of my health had amazing help."Kammy's condition is a neurological disorder that impacts the messages which the brain sends in order to produce speech.
