Oprah Gail Winfrey (born Orpah Gail Winfrey; January 29, 1954) is an American media executive, actress, talk show host, television producer, and philanthropist. She is best known for her talk show, The Oprah Winfrey Show, broadcast from Chicago, which was the highest-rated television program of its kind in history and ran in national syndication for 25 years from 1986 to 2011. Dubbed the "Queen of All Media", she was the richest African American of the 20th century and North America's first black multi-billionaire, and she has been ranked the greatest black philanthropist in American history. By 2007, she was sometimes ranked as the most influential woman in the world.
Issa Rae
Jo-Issa Rae Diop (born January 12, 1985), known as Issa Rae, is an American actress, writer, director, producer, and web series creator. She first garnered attention for her work on the YouTube web series Awkward Black Girl. She subsequently gained further recognition for creating, co-writing, and starring in the HBO television series Insecure. For her acting work on Insecure, she has received two Golden Globe Award nominations for Best Actress – Television Series Musical or Comedy and a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series.

Emmy Awards: Oprah Winfrey, Issa Rae, Anthony Anderson Among Stars To Make Appearances For Virtual Ceremony

Alexandra Del Rosario Associate Editor/Nights & WeekendsThe Television Academy has announced a slate of Hollywood stars set to make appearances during its virtual Emmy Awards ceremony.

The 72nd annual Emmy Awards, which is less than two weeks away, will feature appearances from Oprah Winfrey, Issa Rae, America Ferrera and Anthony Anderson, all who have received Emmy nods during their career.Additional stars set to appear during the ceremony are Gabrielle Union, J.J.

Watt and Emmy-winner Lena Waithe. The Television Academy also announced that Grammy-winning H.E.R. will make her Emmys debut as she takes the virtual stage for the ceremony’s “In Memoriam” performance.
