Emmerdale's Chris Bisson confirms Jai and Laurel are 'done for good' after tense split

Emmerdale star Chris Bisson has confirmed that Jai Sharma and Laurel Thomas are "done" for good after their tense break-up earlier this year.

Chris' character Jai has been struggling in the ITV Dales at the moment, with Laurel convinced he's back on cocaine - oblivious that the drugs actually belonged to Leyla Cavanagh from dealer Suzy.Things have been tense between Jai and his family too, after he lost his stake in The HOP and fraudulently swindled Laurel out of her hard earned cash by taking out a loan in her name.Now Chris has spoken exclusively to Daily Star at the MEN Pride of Manchester Awards, confirming it's the end of the road for their romance.The actor, who also acted as a judge at the star-studded ceremony, explained that revisiting Jai's addiction-riddled past has been "absolutely fine" for him as an actor, but the love life split was "tough".He explained: "He's split up with his Laurel, so that's been tough for him."I don’t know [who Jai belongs with].

I think him and Laurel are done, to be honest with you.
