Elon Musk has refused to bow down to officials of some governments who have urged him to remove Russian news sources from SpaceX's Starlink Internet service.The billionaire CEO took to Twitter with an extreme reaction to the requests as he claims he would have to be at 'gunpoint' to remove them.The tweet, posted today (Saturday, March 5), read: "Starlink has been told by some governments (not Ukraine) to block Russian news sources. "We will not do so unless at gunpoint." The tweet comes less than 24 hours after the Tesla founder shared his support for Ukraine and the citizens of Russia who are standing against the Russia-Ukraine war.
In the thread, he wrote "Hold Strong Ukraine" with a reply saying "And also my sympathies to the great people of Russia, who do not want this."Then news comes after several companies have been removing Russian products from their stock in their own form of protest against Vladimir Putin's war.
Most notably, the tech giants, Apple Inc said it was halting all exports into the country and is limiting the use of Apple Pay and other services in an announcement on Tuesday (March 1).
