And I certainly identified with Dorothy – a girl who, like me, couldn’t wait to get off the farm and have exotic adventures.
I sometimes think I was quite lucky not to have other talents apart from writing; it certainly kept life simpler. I do know people who are multitalented, and I think it can become confusing for them to choose a path.
