China discovered a bronze vessels filled with a mysterious liquid which ancient people could have believed was the so-called elixir of life.
The strange, murky drink, which could have been a distilled spirit, dated back to the Han Dynasty of 206BC, experts revealed earlier this month.According to the Luoyang Cultural Relics and Archaeology Research Institute in Henan Province in CentralChina, the discovery was made when experts excavated a cluster of six tombs in Shijiatun Village.Luoyang served as the Han Dynasty capital between 23 and 190 AD.
