EFL chairman Rick Parry has written to clubs across the Championship, League One and League Two, explaining they should not return to training until May 16 at the earliest.

The coronavirus crisis has seen the football season suspended and it remains to be seen when players will be back on the pitch.

There is optimism, though, that games could take place from June as the EFL hope to rush through the remainder of the campaign.

It is suggested that a period of around 56 days will be required for the season to be completed. As a result, the season could be finished through the summer months, while it is also assumed that matches will take place behind closed doors.
