Football League players will not be forced to play games during the coronavirus crisis when the season does start again. EFL bosses have come up with a provisional plan to restart the current campaign on June 6 - if it is possible to do so.
EFL chairman Rick Parry is keen to complete the season and wants all the remaining matches, including the play-offs, to be finished behind closed doors by the end of July.
There will be extensive testing of players and match officials at all EFL clubs before the restart date, with clubs asking players to prepare to go back to training on May 16.
