Kemar Roofe and Anderlecht have been left in limbo by Jupiler League bosses after Club Brugge were named champions and the planned play-off mini-league between the top six scrapped.
Brugge were 15 points clear at the top but not guaranteed of the title thanks to their system, and Anderlecht still had a chance of Champions League or Europa League qualification.
Roofe had been a key player at Leeds United during his spell at Elland Road between 2016 and 2019, scoring 28 goals across 110 Championship appearances.
The 27-year-old left the club for a fee of around £7m in his quest to play European football, which have now been dashed for another season.
