LiverpoolEcho.They said the passengers should be getting an alternative flight to Jersey later today.Fire crews were put on standby for a "potential emergency landing".They have since been stood down.The aircraft was seen making a diversion over New Brighton before returning to the airport.One witness reported seeing a large emergency service response heading towards the airport, including police, fire engines and the coast and rescue service.A spokesperson from North West Ambulance said two ambulances were called to the scene at 1.21pm on Thursday.
