EastEnders star dies aged 38 from aneurysm as family pay heartbreaking tribute

EastEnders actor Ashvin Luximon, who played Asif Malik in the soap, has tragically passed away, aged 38.Ashvin's family have confirmed that the soap star sadly died from an aneurysm last month, on July 23 with his funeral taking place two weeks ago.He played the role of Asif from 1999 until 2003 in the BBC soap opera.READ MORE: Eastenders fan 'in tears' as two fan favourites quit Walford in emotional scenesIn the soap, Ashvin's character was a school friend of Martin Fowler, with the pair getting up to lots of mischief.His final appearance in the soap was back in October 2003 when he passed his A-levels and went to university.The sad news of Ashvin's passing comes after his family set up a tribute page for the star ahead of his funeral which took place on August 11 in Enfield.Creating a page on the website of the funeral home, the family urged fans and friends to pay their respects and to raise money for causes close to their heart.On the site they penned: "This site is a tribute to Ash, who passed on the 23rd July 2022 due to a aneurysm."Ash's unexpected passing has hit us all hard, but we want to take the time to remember his larger than life spirit."He loved and was loved by so many.

He sang a mean karaoke tune and had a voice loud enough to hear from space! He brought laughter and the best cuddles."They then asked people to use the page to share any memories or photos of Ashvin, urging them to be respectful.
