EastEnders star announces sad exit from BBC soap following explosive storyline

EastEnders in upcoming scenes just a few weeks after she made an appearance on the BBC soap.The soap legend, 54, made a massive entrance to Albert Square as she was unveiled to be Lola Pearce’s (Danielle Harold) estranged mum Emma shortly before the local hairdresser lost her battle with cancer.In recent weeks, Patsy has played a huge role in the dramatic storyline, but has since taken to social media to confirm that filming for her final scenes has wrapped up.READ NEXT: EastEnders' Max Branning return 'sealed' as fans adamant he'll support brother JackShe took to her Instagram grid, and in a photo carousel post to her 131,000 followers, she uploaded a slew of snaps where she made her way across an airbridge to get onto an aeroplane and headed towards a hotter climate.In her caption, she told fans how she’d had an “awesome experience” working on the BBC soap and hailed her cast members as being “amazing” and “loving”.

She also shared that she’s on the “right antibiotics” to treat a “severe chest infection” and reassured fans that she’d be “right back on her feet.”Patsy penned: “We’re leaving on a jet plane!
