ok.co.ukEastEnders star Barbara Smith, who plays Dana Monroe, has revealed that she once appeared on the BBC One soap in 2019 as a different character.
Speaking in a recent interview, the actress said that she played a character called Ellie two years ago who offered Bex Fowler (Jasmine Armfield) some "dodgy medication" while attending an open day for Oxford University.
And now, two years later, Barbara has joined Albert Square as a different character — Dana, who is the girlfriend of Bobby Beale (Clay Milner Russell).
Talking to Inside Soap, the soap star said: "I felt as if I was stepping into my TV when I first walked on to the set and it was one of those moments where I had to pinch myself.
