stabbed another woman to death at a street party and then used her bank card to try and buy a lottery ticket, a court heard.
Keegan Barnes, 28, is accused of stabbing Toni Butler, 25, in the lower leg with a kitchen knife, causing her to suffer catastrophic blood loss.She hen allegedly took the victim’s bank card, as she lay there dead and tried to buy a lotto scratchcard, Teesside Crown Court was told.
Barnes also reportedly painted over the blood-stained walls, which were still wet when the emergency services arrived at the house in Thornaby, North Yorkshire on June 10 last year.
The paramedics discovered that Toni's body was cold and appeared to have been dead throughout the defendant's attempt to carry out CPR.
