Kevin Blatchford had been drinking heavily to blot out his grief after the death of his brother and reacted impulsively when he saw the man walk past the window of the pub, a court heard.He left the Chevalier Inn Wetherspoon pub in the centre of Exeter and attacked the man from behind, landing a flurry of punches before and after the victim fell to the ground.He was left with a black eye and heavy facial bruising after the attack, which happened at lunchtime on July 30, 2020, Devon Live reports.
