East Kilbride road is set to close for nearly a year this week as part of plans to create thousands of new homes and a primary school.Newlands Road will be closed between Jackton Road and No 68 Newlands Road from Monday until March 2022.It is associated with works to develop the massive East Kilbride Community Growth Area (EKCGA) near Jackton, which will see the upgrading, reconstruction and installation of public utility apparatus on Newlands Road.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
