The creative relationship between directors Tim Miller (“Deadpool”) and David Fincher goes back over a decade. The two first partnered to revive the 1980s anthology genre film “Heavy Metal,” with that project eventually evolving into the acclaimed “Love, Death + Robots.” The duo even attempted a comic book adaptation with “The Goon.” An animated film based on the Eric Powell comic book that was published by Dark Horse Comics that has been sitting in development hell for ages, despite word back in 2019 that 20th Century Studios was picking it up.

Tim Miller revealed that his feature take of The Goon comic is being made at Netflix with Love, Death & Robots episodic filmmaker Patrick Osborne directing.

Netflix back in March 2019, and this upcoming season of "Love, Death + Robots" will see him stepping into the director’s chair to helm his first piece of animation on one of the series’ nine episodes.  Many hardcore fans felt letdown a bit by the creativity and storylines in last year's season 2, but hopefully this new lineup for the Emmy Award-winning show gets things back on track.

Billie Eilish will premiere on Disney+, it has been confirmed.Happier Than Ever: A Love Letter to Los Angeles will feature a performance of every song from the artist’s upcoming second album in sequential order from the stage of the Hollywood Bowl. According to Disney, this is the first and only time that the full tracklist will be performed in order.The film is directed by Robert Rodriguez, and will feature animated elements of Eilish’s hometown of Los Angeles thanks to Oscar-winner Patrick Osborne.A preview has been released of the film, which will premiere on the platform on September 3.
