A DRAGONS' Den pair were left "mystified" after being cut from show - despite bagging £85k with an epic pitch. Howard Brown, 60, and Alex Black, 64, applied to take part in the BBC show back in 2020, and went on to film their pitch last year.
The business partners received a huge investment from Touker Suleyman, and agreed on a third of the shares towards their underfloor heating business SmartFilm.
The pair thought that their pitch would appear on the BBC show some time this year, but were left devastated when they found out it wasn't going to air.
Howard told recently told BirminghamLive: "We have been constantly waiting for that 'week before' call and it didn't come, but the email did. "We were just mystified, we were perplexed.
