Dozens of Oldham homes left without electricity following wheelie bin fire

Crews are currently on The Green, in Fitton Hill, after being called out to deal with a wheelie bin fire earlier this afternoon.
Engineers from Electricity North West have turned off the power supply to 85 homes in the OL8 postcode area following the fire as a safety precaution.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said: “At 4.25pm this afternoon, three fire engines from Chadderton, Stalybridge and Mossley fire stations were called to reports of a fire at a domestic property on The Green, Oldham. “Crews arrived quickly and are currently using
