The Walt Disney Co. said Thursday that studio veteran Luke Kang has been promoted to the role of president of Asia-Pacific (APAC).
The entertainment giant said a separate executive would be appointed as its head of India in the new year. The two positions have been set up to replace Uday Shankar, president of Disney Asia-Pacific and chairman of Star and Disney India, who announced his exit in October.
Both of the new roles will report toRebecca Campbell, Disney's chair of international operations and direct-to-consumer. Most recently, Kang served as Disney's executive vice president and managing director for Greater China, Japan and Korea, overseeing all of Disney's businesses in East Asia.
