Dimitar Berbatov has insisted it will take time for Newcastle United to attract top players to the club. Newcastle are in talks over a potential Saudi Arabia-backed takeover.
Manchester City, of course, were subject to a takeover of their own in 2008 which dramatically changed the financial fortunes of the club.
Berbatov chose to sign for Manchester United instead of City the year Mansour took over and he believes that, similarly, it will take time before top-class players see Newcastle United as a desirable destination.
