The 25-year-old, originally from Kerala, south-west India, battled morning sickness as she prepared for her biggest exam, which fell on the day she was due to give birth.
And when son Elan arrived 10 days early via an emergency C-section she was adamant she would continue her studies, while juggling motherhood and also suffering from postnatal depression.
