Debra Messing clearly wants to play Lucille Ball in the upcoming movie being made about the icon’s life, though Nicole Kidman has reportedly landed the role.

The Emmy-winning actress took to Twitter on Monday night (January 11) and reacted to all of the love she has been getting from fans after the news was announced. Debra seemed like a perfect choice for the role as she already gave an impeccable performance as Lucille during an episode of Will & Grace‘s final season.

One fan tweeted saying that they’re choose to believe that Debra was unavailable for the project. She responded by saying, “Oh no, I’m available.” Another fan tweeted a quote that Debra said last year about how she used to say, “I would not even touch that.
